Opportunity For Trade

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 24. The Indian trade delegation now in New Zealand provided an excellent opportunity for businessmen to boost trade between India and New Zealand, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said today. “A visit by top Indian trade representatives so soon after my talks with Mrs Gandhi (the Prime Minister of India) is an illustration of the awareness oh both sides of the opportunities for increased trade,” Mr Holyoake said in a statement.

Trade between the two countries was now worth about SB.sm a year.

Parliament’s Date.—The Prime Minister, Mr Holyoake said today he had not yet given “deep study” to a date for the resumption of Parliament. He told reporters he had given the matter some thought and would be making a statement when a decision was reached. —(P.A.).
