OVERSEAS TRADING

SYDNEY In a relatively quite market on the Sydney Stock Sxchange yesterday mining stocks showed an improved trend after being easier in the morning. Mining stocks which showed out were mainly Quensland uranium shares.

Queensland Mines had an outstanding gain of 80c to 1000 c, but Mary Kathleen was 40c lower at 960. Oils eased, Oil Search falling 10c to 65c. Industrials were barely steady. Although banks generally were steady. C.B.A. dropped 35c to 340 as a further response to the failure of the Bank of N.S.W. merger proposals. B.H.P, was down 20c to 1830.
