Police Station Entered

HAMILTON, Feb. 7.
After a retirement of 45 minutes a jury in the Hamilton Supreme Court today found Michael . Edmund Luton, aged 28, a welder, of Auckland, guilty of breaking and entering the Ngaruawahia police station with intent to commit a crime on November 8. Luton was remanded for sentence until February 13. The trial was before Mr Justice Hardie Boys. Luton, who had pleaded not guilty, was presented by Mr K. Ryan. Mr K. Sanford appeared for the Crown. Among the articles taken from the police station, were a .38 calibre Smith and Wesson pistol, a holster, and 24 rounds of ammunition.
