Four Doctors In N.Z. Family, Too
The Cuku, of Sydney, are not the only ones with four doctor* in the family. Dr J. M. Bird, of Christchurch, ha* a father and two brothers in the medical profession. A story in “The Press" on Saturday featured three brothers, Peter Caska, aged 22, his twin brother, Paul, and John (24), who all graduated as bachelors of medicine at Sydney University recently. Their father is a general practitioner. Dr Bird’s father has been practising in Greymouth since about 1929. Qne brother
has a practice in Greymouth and the other in Timaru. The three brothers did not graduate at the same time, but all attended the University of Otago. Their maternal grandfather was a doctor in Napier and his son (the uncle of the Bird brothers) is Dr Wilson Henley, superintendent-in-chief of Auckland Hospital.
