CHALLENGE TO ROSE
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE. The British Empire Bantamweight champion, Alan Rudkin, will fight Lionel Rose, of Australia, for Rose's world bantamweight title at Melbourne on March 8. The challenge was announced last night by the managingdirector of Ansett Industries. Ltd. (Mr R. M. Ansett). who is promoting the fight. Mr Ansett said Rose’s purse would be $80,060, Rudkin would get about $ll,OOO plus expenses.
