(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY. The Australian junior champion, Miss J. Stephenson, led the field against New Zealand junior golfers at the New South Wales golf club, La Perouse, in Sydney yesterday. Miss Stephensaon. with a four-over-par round of 78, proved much too good for the New Zealand visitors.

The New Zealand junior champion. Miss S. Beadle, with an outward run of 38 shared the lead with Miss Stephenson at half-way, but she faltered to come home in 42 for a round of 80—two shots behind the young Australian.

The other three New Zealand golfers failed badly against the New South Wales juniors. Miss G. Longley, after being out in a three-over-par 41, struck trouble to take 54 for a round of 95, which was 14 over! her handicap. Miss A. Horne disappointed with a 17-over-par round of 91. Miss M. Smith took 91 to get round the hilly course—seven over par.
