Bid For Cropper Unconditional
(N.Z. Press Association) HASTINGS, January 6. J. Wattie Canneries, Ltd, notified the Stock Exchange today that its bid for CropperN.R.M. shares had become unconditional. The chairman of directors (Sir James Wattie) said that by this morning there had been more than a 93i per cent acceptance by Cropper shareholders and acceptances were still coming in.
“This is very satisfactory from every point of view,” he said. “In due course we will issue our certificates in exchange for the ones sent in by shareholders of CropperN.R.M.”
