SMRKOVSKY DENIAL
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) PRAGUE, Dec. 25. The Czechoslovak Prime Minister (Mr Oldrich Cernik) has discounted widespread fears that the progressive National Assembly Chairman (Mr Josef Smrkovsky) would be removed from the political scene. In a country-wide telecast Mr Cernik admitted that such fears had arisen after the Czechoslovak-Soviet summit meeting in Kiev earlier this month. But he assured his audience of six million viewers that changes in the leadership had not been discussed and no agreements had been concluded with the Russians.
