More Flights By Boeings
The number of Boeing 737 flights from Christchurch each day will increase from five to eight when the National Airways Corporation’s summer schedule comes into effect tomorrow. The increase is made possible by the entry into service today of the third 737, which has been used for the last few weeks on co-pilot flight training at Christchurch. From tomorrow there will be two direct flights to Auckland—at 10 a.m. and at 4.50 p.m.—compared with one at present. Five flights a day will be made to Wellington, continuing to Auckland, compared with three. The one return service to Dunedin will remain the same. Whenever major maintenance is needed on one of the Boeings a Viscount will be used. The summer time-table will apply until February 2.
