Floating Trade Fair Planned

(New Zealand Pre»e Association) AUCKLAND, December 18. An Auckland firm has planned a floating trade fair to boost New Zealand exports in Pacific island markets next June.

The firm, Export Business Afloat, Ltd, hopes to attract between 30 and 50 businesses to take up almost 9000 sq. ft of space on two decks of the passenger ship Kuala Lumpur. The trade fair has been organised in conjunction with a holiday cruise. The ship will spend one day

in Nukualofa, Tonga, two days in Apia, Western Samoa, two days in Suva, Fiji, one day in Lautoka, Fiji, and one day in Noumea, New Caledonia. Invitations to firms would be sent out next month, said the manager of Export Business Afloat, Mr G. J. Barnard, today. He expected that if the standard of recent Jaycee displays in the area could be maintained, the fair would do better than similar floating displays by Australians.
