ARTIFICIAL SNOW PLAYGROUND.—MiIIions of tiny styrene foam beads have been spread on the roof of a Tokyo department store to make a "snow" playground for children while their mothers do their Christmas shopping. The “snow” is dry. and even warm. Pressed styrene foam is used as containers for packing cameras, television sets, radios, and other fragile goods. It makes excellent “snow" when ground almost to powder. One ton costs about BNZI7 IO.
