The Training Within Indus-1 try Service, run by the De-[ partment of Labour, had) proved successful, particularly in some export industries. There was a widespread' demand for an extension of I the service, the Minister of I Labour (Mr Shand) said ini Parliament today. In reply to Mr H. V. Don-i, aid (Nat., Wairarapa), Mr[i Shand said the number of executives and supervisors com- i pleting the service had in-1 creased from 3362 in 1966-671 to 4475 in 1967-68.
