East Coast Gales
(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, Dec. 17. Gales and heavy rain lashed Gisborne and parts of the East Coast last night as a hurricane at sea moved slowly south-eastwards. No structural damage was reported in the city and the adjacent country areas, but there was some damage further up the East Coast. The centre of the storm this morning was about 300 miles off East Cape.
