Goods Worth i s2Boin Held ■ <N.Z. Press Association > I WELLINGTON, Dec. 17. I Retail stocks of goods at September 30 were the high>est for several .veal's, the Minister of Finance (Mr MulJdoon) said in Parliament today.
On that date, stocks were valued at 5280.061 m compared with 8259.008 m in September, 1965. With stocks at such a high level it was unlikely that the recent fiscal measures would affect the prices of stock before Christmas, he said. Mr Muldoon was answering a question by Mr G. A. Walsh (Nat., Tauranga).
