FIRE AT SCHOOL
Classrooms were evacuated at the Christchurch South Intermediate School when the fire'alarm was given at 11.50 a.m. yesterday. The fire, from hot ashes in rubbish, caused slight damage to an outside wall of a classroom.
Firemen from Sydenham and Headquarters stations answered the alarm.
