AUSTRALIANS ON TOUR
Cricket Matches At Rangiora North Canterbury will play two touring sides of Australian cricketers at Rangiora this season. On January 4 and 5, North Canterbury will play Australian Old Collegians. on January 8 and 9 will meet the Emus. In the match against Australian Old Collegians, North Canterbury may not field a fulstrength representative team as there has been a suggestion that some of the older cricket-, ing personalities will be recalled specify for the occasion. Representative Programme North Canterbury will play Ashburton this Saturday and Sunday at Ashburton. Arrangements have still to be completed for possibly another five representative matches, including those against Nelson, West Coast, Buller, Marlborough, and a Hawke Cup elimination match against the winner of the match Central Otago v. Southland. The winner of the elimination match to be contested by North Canterbury will have the right of direct challenge against the holder of the Hawke Cup next season.
