Th* Ferrari company will compete tn next aeaaon’a Formula I, Formula 11 and Canad-ian-American championahlpa and return to the manufacturer!’ competition. Enzo Ferrari told a preaa conference that Ferrari had a new 12-cyllnder car for the Grand Prix racer, had perfected cara tor Formula 11. and had a prototype of 3000 c.c. ready for the manufacturers’ championahip. Mr Ferrari raid that hla cara had taken part in 37 races last season and won only seven. Seven cars were destroyed in accident*, he nld. The 813/P nrototypw for th* manufacturers* competition—which cover* G.T. prototype* up to 3000 c.e. and *port* vara up to 5009 c.c. was shown- at th* press conference. Mr Ferrari said that only on* Formula I ear would be ready for th* first race* of th* 1969 season. The New Zealand driver C. Amon, would drive this car, Mr Ferrari said. Later, Amon would be supported by the Englishman. D. BeO. and probably by the Italian-American, M. Andretti. The Formula II ear* would be driven by Amon. Bell, and the Italian, T. Brambilla, h* said. Amon would drlv* ths 312/P. The company was making five *2OO c.c. cars tor th* CanAm series, he said.
