Party Expels 3 Members (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BUDAPEST, Dec. 15. The Hungarian Communist Party has expelled three intellectuals for signing a statement criticising the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia last August, the Central Committee’s official organ, “Partelet,” said last Friday. A former Hungarian Prime Minister, Mr Andras Hegedues, now director of the Sociological Research Unit in Budapest,, was censured by the party for taking a stand differing from the line of the party, “Partelet” added. The three expelled members are Mr and Mrs Gyoergy Markus and Mrs Vilmos Kos.
