PROJECT; The appointee will work on the physiological ecology of micro-organisms of polluted waters; particularly the role of specific pollutants as respiratory substrates or inhibitors. DUTIES: The appointee will be expected to establish and maintain pure cultures of Protozoa and bacteria from field samples, and carry out respirometric experimental work with these organisms. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum— U.E. Biology and Chemistry (mathematics desirable). University units in the appropriate i subjects may be an advantage to selection.
