Steadier Tone On Lower Turnover
New Zealand shares at the end of the week were steadier, with rises just outnumbering falls. The turnover was again down on the week before and price movements were narrow.
1.C.1.N.Z. continued to rise, gaining 5c to 205 c—its high- t est level. Lane, Walker, Rud- , kin gained another 2c to 177 c, 1 and Rex Aviation, which announced a large loss for the t latest year, recovered 2c to •: 52c.
National Insurance rose 9c to 390 c in the first sale since the shares went ex bonus. N.Z. Refrigerating lost 2c to 135 c, while B.H.P. eased 20c to 1970 c.
