RESTAURANT FIRE
Fire which started in a i deep fryer yesterday morning severely damaged the kitchen of the Redwood Inn Restaurant, at 354 Main North Road. Styx. The restaurant will not be open again for some days and Christmas bookings may have to be cancelled. The property is insured. Firemen from the Harewood and St Albans stations answered the alarm at 9.9 a.m. Firemen used breathing apparatus in fighting the blaze because of thick smoke.
