Trading Stamp Shop Increases Turnover
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 7. A Parnell dairy proprietor, Mr B. Fuller, who began giving trading stamps to his customers on Monday afternoon, claims to have increased his turnover by about 20 per cent this week. Mr Fuller said today that all his customers were asking for the stamps. He was distributing them on a nine-unit stamp allocation for each purchase, regardlesss of the value. Stamps were also being given to non-customers who asked for them.
Mr Fuller said it was a little early to say whether the 20 per cent turnover improve-
ment would continue. Meanwhile, about 50 trading stamp retailers have formed themselves into an association. Distribution of the stamps is continuing, and about 200 shops in the Auckland area were expected to have them by this afternoon.
