Parliament’s Diary
A debate on External Affairs after the return of the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) from the United States and South-East Asia was initiated last night—the first in which Parliament’s extended hours were observed.
The Anglican Children’s Trust Amendment Bill was read a third time and passed. The Auckland Gas Company Amendment Bill was given a second reading. Ten questions were answered. The Estate and Gift Duties Bill and the Impounding Bill were given their committal debates.
