(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright)

NAGOYA (Japan), Nov. 5.

New Zealand delicacies such as meats and biscuits have gone on display in Nagoya to tempt the citizens of Japan’s third biggest city. A New Zealand food fair, occupying about half the basement floor of a big department store, was officially opened by Mr Mkine Kuwahara, governor of Aiichi prefecture, in which Nagoya lies.

Mr Kuwabara said in a brief opening speech that trade relations were strengthening between Japan and New Zealand—which the food fair would advance. A 23-member New Zealand trade mission was present, organised by the export action group of the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation. The mission is touring Japan for three weeks. The New Zealand Embassy and the New Zealand Meat Producers’ . Board, which handled the planning for the food fair, were also represented.
