MOTOR-BOATS SPEEDING THROUGH THE CLEAR WATER of Lake Tinkiller in eastern Oklahoma. The lake, about 150 miles east of Oklahoma City, is one of the few large natural lakes in the state. Most of the state’s biggest lakes are man-made, and the state continues to build dams to form new lakes for recreational, industrial, and agricultural purposes.
