Conley Will Lead Rest
Shamrock’s new playercoach, T. Conley, will play his first soccer match in Christchurch since his return from Australia when he leads The Rest against Scotland at Western Park on Saturday. The original plan for Scottish-bom players to meet an English-born side has been changed, and a team of all nationalities will now meet the Scots.
The Scottish team will be: W. Weir: G. Davis, A. Hawthorn (Technical): J. Sullivan, J. Trequair (Shamrock), T. Langan (Western): F. Nicol (Waterside), J. Langan (Western), A. Marshall (Shamrock), G. Spiers (New Brighton), S. Brine (Shamrock).
The match will start at 3 p.m.
