Motels, Tavern At Manapouri

<N.Z. Press Association) f WELLINGTON, Nov. 1. A tourist house licence and a separate tavern licence for Manapouri have been approved by the Licensing Control Commission. In decisions released tonight, Motel Manapouri, Ltd, has been granted a tourist house premises licence to be issued when certain listed works are completed. The commission also authorised a tavern premises licence and will in due course advertise for applicants. The area within which the licence is proposed to be granted is defined as that bounded by the ManapouriTe Anau and the HillsideManapouri roads between’ 20 and 40 chains north-east of the junction of those roads. The site must be of sufficient area to enable eventual provision for a hotel to accommodate no fewer than 100 guests.
