Two Killed
A young Christchurch woman and a young girl from the Ashburton district were killed in a collision on the Main South Road yesterday south of the Rangitata River Bridge about 6.15 p.m. They were
Theresa Ann McCrea, aged 26, a shorthand-typist, of 43 Vagues Road, Papanui, the daughter of Mr and
Mrs G. C. McCrea. Jeanette Elizabeth Harper, aged 5, of Hackthorne, No. 1 R.D., Ashburton. The other vehicle was being driven by Mrs Elizabeth Margaret Harper, of Hackthorne, No. 1 R.D., Ashburton. She and her two sons, Bruce, aged 11, and Paul, aged nine; were admitted to the Timaru Hospital. Both cars were wrecked.
