FLOODLIT IN FAVOUR

“The Press’* Special Service PALMERSTON NTH. Floodlit is chosen to repeat her Hastings success in the Hatuna Handicap, the second leg of the T.A.B. double at the Waipukurau Jockey Club’s meeting today.

In the Hatuma Handicap are several good sprinters which are preparing for important Trentham engagements. Among them is the top-weight, Bellamour. Floodlit is an almost automatic choice after his solid Hastings win. There he led practically throughout to win with something in hand. A top-class sprinter when right, Floodlit should repeat that performance from No. 9 at the start. Bellamour is consistent, capable and hardy. She should run well fresh, even though drawn a little wide at No. 11. She had 11 starts last season for three wins and six minor platings. The best ot the others will probably be Sacimo, which went boldly at the Feilding matinee meeting on Tuesday. He finished a useful second there without being pushed and the chances are he will give a good account of himself fresh. FIRST LEG Escameno remains in favour for the first leg, the Waipukurau Tucker Cup. The track will be firm.
