Nutrition is a major subject in the degree of Bachelor of Rural Science and is also offered for the degree of Bachelor of Science. There is a strong nutrition research and Post Graduate Training programme in the Department. The Research interests of the appointee could range from Ruminant or Non-Ruminant Nutritional Biochemistry to Nutritional behaviours. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in both undergraduate and postgraduate tuition and supervision. Salary: $A4500 x 270-5A7020 x 280-5A7300 p.a. McCREDIE, Registrar. 3347 THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE SUB-DEAN in the FACULTY OF ARTS THE SUB-DEAN will be required to: (a) Plan, supervise and maintain advisory services to students relating to their courses in the faculty and their welfare in matters affecting their academic life; (b) Advise and inform the faculty on matters concerning students and courses. The Sub-Dean will be responsible (through the Assistant Dean) to the Dean of the Faculty of Arts. He will receive assistance from a full-time Tutor to Arts students. This is a full-time administrative appointment but the SubDean may engage, as a normal part of his activities, in a limited amount of teaching or other academic work. Applicants should have a degree in an arts discipline with university teaching or administrative experience. SALARY: Senior Admin. Officer, Grade 1, $6900-$7500 p.a.; Senior Admin. Officer, Grade 2, $7600-58000 p.a. The level of appointment will be determined according to qualifications and experience.
