HUNTERS MISSING
(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON. Sept. 15. Two men are missing on a hunting trip in the Upper Buller Gorge.’ The men, Leslie Edward Penman and Norman John Germain, both of Murchison, left yesterday at 5.30 a.m. to go hunting in the .Flat Ford area of the Buller River. They were due to return before dusk. Late yesterday afternoon their truck was found at Deep Dale. On it were two pig carcases, two rifles and three dogs. A boat known to have been taken by the men on the truck was missing.
At 6.10 p.m. yesterday the policeman in charge at Murchison, Constable S. Solly, and members of the local Search and Rescue Organisation started a search downstream. It is to resume at first light
