Dr Fager won the SUSIOO.OOO United Nations Handicap at Atlantic City race course on Wednesday, defeating Advocator by a neck. Fort Marcy was third and the Australian horse. Tobin Bronze, fourth in the nine furlongs and a half race. The Associated Press reported that Dr Fager staked a strong claim for Horse Of The Year honours by winning his first race on the grass. Sent out favourite by a crowd of 16,557, Dr Fager was never worse than second in the race. His time was Imin 55 l/ssec.
