Man Under Truck
A truck loaded with fish heads to be used as bait by Motunau fishermen overturned at Glasnevin, north of Amberley, when a tyre blew out about mid-afternoon on Wednesday. The driver, Mr D. R. Kerr, aged 34, of 41 Mathers Road, was pinned beneath the truck and suffered chest and back injuries. He was rescued when a fork-lift was used to lift the truck from him. He was attended by a doctor and taken to the Christchurch Hospital in the Rangiora St John ambulance. His condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory.
