FUNDS FOR HERITAGE
A “Miss Sophisticate 1968” contest will be supported by the Kaikoura Returned Services’ Association Club this year in conjunction with the East Coast branch of the R.S-A. The two clubs will sponsor a candidate for the contest which is being arranged to raise funds for Heritage, Marlborough, to help children of deceased former servicemen. Entries are sought from girls between the ages of 17 and 25 who are residents of the Kaikoura county. The selection of the Kaikoura candidate will take place in the R.S.A. Hall on September 18, and the winner will contest the final in Blenheim in October.
