Field Day Held At Eyreton Conditions were difficult with a very strong wind at a recent free flight field day of the Kaiapoi Model Aero Club, held at Eyreton. Results were:—Hand launched glider: B. Turner 250. W. Forbes 168 D. Broome 163 R. Spencer-Bdwers IJS, P. Wheeler 137, S. Middleton 138. A/2: B Turner 579. W. Forbes 465. D Broome 436, P. Wheeler 350. A 1: B. Turner 323. D. Broome 302, W Forbes 246. Precision power: W. Forbes 241, P. Wheeler 191, B Turner 111.
A control line field day was held at the Kaiapoi domain with the following results: Stunt: P. Wheeler 992 points W Forbes 278, M. Morice 228. Half A team race: P. Bangma 8:20.0. Class A 100 laps: D. Broome 8:9.0, W. Forbes 82 laps. There was a small attendance for a South Island decentralised contest held at Eyreton for two classes. Results were—Hand launched glider: W. Forbes 178 M. Scott 162 S. Middleton 111' FAI power: M. Scott 645.
