Training School For Hotel Industry
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 11. Plans for a national training school to cover all facets of the hotel industry’s requirements for staff were outlined by the Minister of Education (Mr Kinsella) to the hotel management conference today.
Mr Kinsella said that after many discussions efforts to establish the school had been successful. The school would be built as part of a 45-acre development at Trentham. But before the school could be started quite a lot had to be settled. This included a special discussion to formulate courses and requirements. Mr Kinsella said that such
: a school was a vital require- > ment in the tourist industry. [ The chairman of the Hotel > Association (Mr J. E. Ewart) said the time for the school I was now. “Every day of delay > is a day of waste,” he said. i The association will give ■ full backing to the school, • which will be under the control of the Education Departi ment.
