Banks Join Databank
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 11. In a joint statement issued in Wellington today, the chief executive officers of Australia and New Zealand Bank, Bank of New South Wales, and the Commercial Bank of Australia announced that each had arranged to take up a shareholding in the computer service’ company, Databank Systems, Ltd. This company was established in October, 1967, when the National Bank of New Zealand, Ltd, joined with the Bank of New Zealand to use and ultimately expand the services of the Bank of New Zealand’s computer installations in Auckland and Wellington.
