Road Still Closed
(N Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Sept. 10. More avalanches have hit the Te Anau-Milford Road. Snow fell last night and because of the danger of more avalanches the resident engineer of the Ministry of Works in Invercargill (Mr. L. H. Spencer) has refused to allow men beyond the gate at the 56th Mile, a few miles from the Homer Tunnel. The road has been closed since an avalanche at the Te Anau end of the tunnel on Monday of last week.
