British players won both singles events at the international lawn tennis tournament at Locarno. G. Stilwell beat R. Hawkes (New Zealand), 64, 64, in the men’s final, and Mrs R. Lloyd beat another British player. Miss S. Holdsworth, 6-3. 64, in the women’s final. Hawke and H. Irvine (Rhodesia) won the men’s doubles, beating P. Holenstein and M. Werren (Switzerland), 64, 64.
