FIRE GUTS FACTORY

(N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 3. -- Men raced away, one smashing through an office window, when fire swept a Glen Eden French-polishing factory today. Within seconds the factory was ablaze and flames shot through the roof, doorways, windows and gaping sections of wall. It was gutted quickly and hundreds of pieces of furniture, including antiques, were destroyed. None of the six men working there was seriously hurt. The damage amounted to thousands of dollars.
