Woman M.P. Protests

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) CALGARY, September 3. Mrs Anne Kerr, a Labour member of the British House of Commons, will ask for a formal apology from the United States Government and the Mayor of Chicago (Mr Richard Daley) for the treatment she alleges she received during the Democratic Party's convention last week. Mrs Kerr said the anti-riot gas, mace, was sprayed on her face while she was in a police van after her arrest, and that her legs and a shoulder were bruised by the police.

She was arrested outside the Hilton Hotel while talking to a group of youths, some of whom were demanding an end to the war in Vietnam.
