Shelling Of Compound
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SAIGON, Sept. 3. Viet Cong forces poured mortar and rocket shells into a military compound near Saigon last night and then attacked it with a ground assault Government troops and South Vietnamese policemen defending the Long Thanh compound, 21 miles east of Saigon, suffered light casualties, according to initial reports.
