Woman Killed
(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, Sept. 2. An elderly woman pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Gisborne last night. She was Lilian May Gordon, aged 72, a widow, of Palmerston Road, Gisborne.
Repairs To Seaway Princess.—The roll-on coaster, Seaway Princess, is expected to be in Auckland all this week while repairs are being carried out after last week’s fire in an officer’s cabin.— (P.A.)
