NEW CARGO BUILDING

AUCKLAND, September 2. The construction of a new 20,000 sq. ft cargo building, costing about $350,000, at Auckland airport was approved in principle by the Auckland Regional Authority’s airport committee today. The building is seen as the first stage of a cargo complex of 50,000 sq. ft which, with parking space and reading, [will cost about $600,000. [Agreement on the idea will be sought from the Department of Civil Aviation, which will be asked to pay half the cost.
