SCOUTING AWARDS
The Governor-General (Sir Arthur Porritt), who is Chief Scout of New Zealand, has approved the following awards to adult members of the Scout Association in recognition of their services: Silver Tui.—Mr R. Hopkins (New Plymouth). Silver Tiki.—Mrs E. Wild and Mr R. Wild (Waiheke Island). Bar to Medal of Merit.—Mr H. E. Rance (Orawai, Southland). Medal of Merit.—Mr J. Abrams, Mrs J. Hinman (Christchurch), Mr K. B. Barry (Takaka), Mr M. J. McGlashan (Richmond). Chief Scout’s Commendation.—Mrs D. Underwood (Christchurch).
