(N.Z Press Association) TIMARU, September 1. R. Dixon (Nelson) won the South Island junior barrier title, and G. Rollo (New Brighton) the colts’ title, when the championships were decided at Centennial Park. Timaru, on Saturday. The junior race was decided over a course of three miles and a half, and drew a field of 65. The colts’ race, over two miles and a half, attracted an entry of 120. The course gave very good footing.
