Final Events In Festival

The South Island Championship title for the under 18 years highland reel was won by Judith Marks, of Christchurch, in the final events of the Ashburton Competitions Society’s annual festival which were held on Friday night. She scored 90 points, one ahead of the second placegetter, Judith Burrows, also of Christchurch. Another Christchurch girl. Anitra Dawe, scored B'B points to take third place. Results of the other events held on Friday night, all of which were in the dancing section. were as follows, with competitors from Ashburton unless otherwise stated:—
