Week-end Accidents In Christchurch
Two cars, one towing a piecart, collided at the corner of England and Cashel Streets about 4.20 a.m. yesterday and two persons were injured. Alan Howarth, of 237 Shortland Street, suffered head and leg injuries. Lois Joy Howarth, of the same address, suffered head and arm injuries. They were admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Head Injuries.—When two cars collided at the corner of Wilsons and Opawa Roads late yesterday afternoon, Winifred Swire, of 46 Kilmore Street, suffered head injuries She was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Cyclist Injured.—After his cycle and a car collided in Innes Road about 10.5 a.m yesterday, Matthew Lawrence, of 492 Albert Street, Palmerston North, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suf fering from head injuries.
Car Hits Hoarding.— Brent Robert Norrie, of 7 Mahers Road, was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital suffering from head injuries after a car hit an advertising hoarding on the Northern Motorway in the early hours of Saturday. Two Injured.— Two cars collided at the corner of Hereford Street and Stanmore Road on Saturday morning. June Densham, of 126 Kerrs Road, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from arm injuries. Marilyn Densham, also of 126 Kerrs Road, was treated al the Christchurch Hospital for leg injuries. Struck Tree.—Head, arm and leg injuries were suffered by Sue Marie Bamford, of 175 Peterborough Street, when a motor-cycle hit a tree in Cambridge Terrace on Saturday afternoon. She was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.
