Transport Pool At Lyttelton
Lyttelton church members of all denominations have combined in a practical manner to pool their services. Because of the port’s distance from hospitals, Lyttelton residents often find it difficult to visit sick friends or relations.
As the result of a recent meeting, a transport pool has been formed, using members' cars. A local minister said that this would not be the sole purpose of the pool but it was “one step forward in basic ecumenism.”
