(NZ. press Association) WELLINGTON, August 30. Taxation receipts from all sources topped $lOOO million for the first time in the year ended March 31. The total of $1,012,656 represented an increase of $23.8 million or 2.4 per cent, according to the July abstract of statistics. Income tax paid per head of mean population decreased from $246.50 in 1966-67, to $245,80 In 1967-68. The population of New Zealand at March 31 was 2,755,092, compared with 2,727,148 at the same time last year, an increase of 27,944.
